Chuck Uebele's photo background

I am curently an industrial photographer, working in the aerospace industry. I've been working in photography for over 30 years.

In the 1970's I started my photo & graphic work experience in an offset printing shop as a camera man, stripper, & plate maker. I also worked as a custom color printer for a portrait studio. Occasionally I shot a few assignments for some local papers.

In the Late 1970's & early 1980's I worked In a comercial photo lab, as well as a one hour photo lab.

I then moved on to working in the aerospace industry as a photographer & photo tech. I've worked for Northrop, Hughes Aircraft, & Boeing.

Received the Guru Award in Illustration at Photohop World 2009 for Beard's Opera House - 1897.

Photic

One of my earlier jobs in photography was at Photic of San Diego. I worked as a film & paper processor, color corrector, automated print operator, and did machine maintenance. This photo was taken in 1980 when I received employee of the month.

Copy Camera

Before the digital age, my work involved working in a wet lab. Here at Hughes Aircraft, I am setting the copy camera, while my coworker sets the copy and cleans the glass. We used to make copy negs, halftone PMT's & 8x10 Ektachromes for presentations - that was before PowerPoint presentation.
